-
The Nickel
Finish has retained most of it's Factory Luster, but close
inspection reveals some normal blemishing and stress marks. It is
worn through to Brass in some areas due to frequent handling and
natural aging. Given the number of years this Lamp has been in service,
the original Nickel Finish in remarkably good condition.
-
This Lamp
has a nice decorative Brass Casting on the feeder tube and a
different horizontal capped cylinder block holding the height
adjusting station.
-
Other
than these two unique points of interest, this Lamp is very similar
to the example shown in the original catalog advertisement. (pix
at right)
-
It
as an Authentic Opal Thin Ribbed Shade. The Chimney is also
authentic and signed: Rochester.
-
This
Lamp is both a great Investment and a remarkable enhancement to any
Room or Office with a strong, bold appearance.
-
Finding
an Old Rochester Lamp is a rare experience, but to find one in this
condition is highly improbable.
