Unsurpassed
Bradley & Hubbard Iron Horse Hanging Lamp

  • All original*, signed and dated in several places: Jan. 31,1871 Aug.31,1875--Oct.31,1876--April 24,1877

  • The authentic "star cut" fount is dated on its brass burner Feb.11,73 and Jan.16,83. Near perfect, with the exception of the usual factory imperfections found in early glass lamps. The No.2 brass collar has several age splits, but is tight.

  • This great lamp still retains most of its original black paint with gold highlights throughout--Excellent Condition

  • The wonderful 14"opal, fire polished, slant shade is near perfect, free of chips and cracks and was beautifully hand tooled.

  • The original matching opal smoke bell has one tiny factory cut on its side, not very noticeable when hanging.

  • Outside of a few small areas of rust (blend in pretty well) this magnificent lamp is as close as you can get to the factory original.

  • Counter balance weight allows the lamp to "pull down & retract", holding steady anywhere in between.

  • Total length from the top of the hanging loop to the very bottom of the lamp is 38" ( lamp can be shortened by 10" by removing links from its chain ) width is 14" at the shade.

  • Lamp is set up for oil, but comes with a simple converter for electric, has black cord. *( chain & set screws were replaced for safety )

  • Functional Lamp with investment potential.
